Gosh, this is so uncommon. Dang. Why can't this be 4 or 5 months later. It seems to be a resonable price so far too. Pity that the seller is doing his business in Europe.

Terence, thanks for the trouble for the hats and for the gathering at your home. It was enjoyable and thanks for the tip about Hanoi. I've been thinking about the idea. And i think Johnny should be having his QL 17 soon. So that's good news.:D

Hah Thats right Glen. David tells me he is waiting for the test roll from the lab. :)

Glen, thanks for the link. I have a feeling it's going be going up quite a bit in the final bits of the auction though.

Johnny, welcome to the RF ranks. The QL17 is a great choice to start off with.

Thank you Terence, I've yet to receive the Canon, but I DO have a Contax T3 with me now. The result of an uncle who was clearing his camera dry box. I'm really excited to start shooting with it and from the reviews Ive read, this is a pretty neat camera albeit the horrendous ergonomics.

Anyone has any previous experience with this T3? :)

Hi John

Congratulations to you. I was looking for one for months without success, finally I decide to get a Leica CM instead.

Hi Terence

The Neoprene Strap on the R3a feels very comfortable :) . I will try out the first roll on R3a this weekend.

I love street photography and as I would be traveling by train and foot, this little gem will surely lighten my load than my EOS-10D SLR camera and lenses. While I love the EOS-10D, it is incredibly heavy.

Thanks for everything.

Alvin

Glad to hear that Alvin, haven't met anyone who's been disappointed with the strap. Do post some of your shots when you have them. If you need recommendations for scanning services, put a post over here.

Cheers

I really like the domke F803 mekko clone that i am currently using and i see that someone is selling his on CS. http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=156254 S$50 does sound resonable. Useful bag that can be converted into a daily use bag by taking out the protective insert. And it's just the right size for RF cameras. The only draw back is that beige could become dirty rather than black.

No connection to seller though the seller is named Glen. I'm Glenn. Not Glen by the way. Cheers!

My 39mm filter cost abt 30bucks... got it from ruby can never seem to find B&W filters around always need to special order

Have a great trip Terence!

And do let us know when we can collect those RFF caps. :)

Got the caps in hand but can only get them out when I get back from my vacation round about the first week on Nov.

Ooh, I fully intend to. The Xpan should pick up some nice landscape shots, looking forward to it.

New Zealand has great scenery to shoot. Which parts are you going to?

South Island mostly... Christchurch, Akaroa, Franz Josef/Fox Glaciers, Wanaka, Queenstown, Te Anu, Milford Sound and a couple of others... 2 weeks in all, looking forward to it. Hope the weather holds out.

Pity I got to watch my diet because of the silly gout... sigh, all that wine, steaks, salmon and mussels I'm going to be missing out on....
