that is, I received and tried out my "new" Fuji GW690 version ii.
Sorry if the title is misleading.

Anyway. The camera is H U G E, but in a big-and-cute way.
The frames it produces are also huge, even compared to 6x6 they seem big.
I found the viewfinder rather nice, and the focusing extremely easy. Easier than e.g. on my yashica GSN or Canonet or Minolta hi-matic. (This is made easier by the proper focusing ring on the big lens, instead of a cramped little tab.) And in general, the camera has good ergonomics, it is handy and solid, i found it surprisingly easy to use.

I went to a local "harbor" on Sunday and shot a roll of old fp4+ in it and dev'ed in rodinal special. Here are a few examples.
Third one is at 1600 dpi cropped from the second one (scanned on epson v700), available for pixel peeping.

The Customs are keeping my freshly ordered e100G,GX 220 slides imprisoned for a week already...:(

hehe..thanks.
I haven't noticed the infamous vignetting issue I read about, with the fujis wider-than-f/8-open, but maybe that's only true for the GSW's lens and on slide film?
One of the shots was at f/4 and there was no visible vignetting.

Decision is made. Next month the Fuji comes to Brazil with me.

Every now and then I think about one of these !

Nice pics, I am always impressed by the way MF B&W handles overcast skies - must be the added tonality.

Glad you like it. I love 6X7 or 6X9. The negatives are beautiful in the enlarger. I use a Mamiya Super 23 - now that's a handful!
