A few of my Nikon rangefinder lenses have 43mm filter threads with 0.5mm thread pitch. Modern filters are 43mm with 0.75mm thread pitch, so I had SK Grimes (Woonsocket, RI) make a custom 43mm (0.5mm pitch) to 46 mm (0.75mm pitch) step-up adapter. I went up a bit in size to avoid vignetting. well, the adapter arrived yesterday, and it is perfect. It wasn't cheap ($65), but it does the job and threads on smoothly.

Thanks for letting us know it went well - I think I'll be doing the same with two of my Nikkors.

I have a number of 43-52mm step ups from eBay for $2 apiece that work fine...

Also the reissue 50mm and 35mm lenses use 0.75mm pitch fyi.

I have a 50mm sonnar that is the same vintage as my camera, so the ebay adapters would likely damage the threads.

For those interested - I just bought some more of these adapters on eBay for all of $1, plus shipping:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/43mm-to-52...s-Filter-Ring-43-52-mm-43mm-52mm/223448653627

They are 0.5mm thread pitch on the 43mm side, 0.75mm thread pitch on the 52mm side. I tested them on multiple vintage Nikon RF lenses and they thread on perfectly with no problems.

Shipping took 1.5 weeks from China. I bought 5 for a grand total of under $10 after shipping.
