You could do NCPS's budget scan. They scan to 2048x3072 for $6.95/roll. Add the cost of developing and it comes to $15.70/roll for 35mm. Personally, I've just been using the Fuji mailers and my Epson V600 to scan just the best slides. Saves a lot of hard drive space. So, where do you folks like to mail out your slide film when you want development+scans?
I know Dwayne's is fairly reasonable, but I prefer plastic mounts. NCPS is a little too expensive for my budget, as is the surcharge at Precision Camera. I like to get at least 8-10 mp equivalent scans if possible. Any other ideas?

Looks like this campaign started a bit late given the sale of the Kodak's film division. I can't imagine that a buyer would continue with the Kodak E-6 products. Daughter's soccer tournament this weekend. If overcast, I'll shoot some E200 with my just repaired RTS III. The overcast part is unlikely and the sun even challenges my 1DMKIII. Wow, just checked the forecast, no luck for today's games, but early tomorrow morning... clouds.. Never used E200, so will just shoot box speed using incident readings, or equivalent.. ie. read off my palm and shoot +1.0 EV.

In Germany you can still get slide film in drug stores (precisa-labeled provia) for 3,50€. Development is only 2€. I mainly shoot slides when I do colour, but let's face it, E-6 will be the next film process to die. If only someone could tell the lomo crowd that there is a proper process for slide film, so they don't have to waste it on cross processing... that would probably slow down the death of the slide.

This is a fairly old thread that just today spluttered back into life.
