I have a hood (the correct hood) for my Canon 50mm f/1.4 LTM lens. It has a slight dent on one side. I think that the linked photo shows it pretty clearly.

Is this a cause for concern?
Thanks,
Brad

As long as the hood mounts without undue effort - it ain't pretty but it won't intrude into the photo.
You might be able to push most of that dent out with a lens vise.

Oh, it mounts. The dent/indent is only on the outer rim of the hood.
I now that I need to do some testing, but it's a busy time right now and I won't be able to develop film for a bit.
I guess my main concern was vignetting.

No, won't be a problem. You'll see. I'd be extremely surprised if that introduced vignetting.
I'm pretty sure that ding can be "straightened out" (a pun). A lens vise would likely do it, but very careful/skilled pressure might do as well....I sometimes bring things back into round using a properly sized wooden dowel and hand pressure.
