...aside from being one of the most reliable suppliers of FSU on ebay,
Alex Komarov ("alex-photo") is probably among the most honest. For one transaction
(multiple items in one package), he originally charged US $40 to ship
everything. Then I received an email from him saying that his post
office only charged $22 and that I now have $18 with him, which can be
used for future transactions. That's good for at least a FED-5 (not
that I would want any now :D)... A less scrupulous seller may have just
kept quiet about the overcharge, but Alex did not. That's in contrast
to one sneaky seller from America who charged me $50 for 'express
shipping
' (which took only 3 months), only to find out that he sent the
package by surface mail, which cost only, according to the postal
imprint, $7,50.

Kudos to Alex!

I just got an email from Alex too. He has been busy! I'd ordered a couple of filters first, I think, and paid immediately... Then I went back and looked and found a couple of other things I could use, and by the time I was done I think I'd put in four or so separate "orders." Even with the shipping, of course, the prices weren't all that high, but I added a note to the third (and fourth) sales asking if shipping could be combined, and he must have seen it. With him I don't mind getting a credit instead of a PayPal reverse charge or whatever, as he always has lots of goodies!

Have ordered from Alex twice with good results. The equipment arrived in slightly better condition than was described. I consider Alex to be among the more reliable sellers of FSU equipment on ebay. His shipping charges tend to be slightly lower, too.

It's nice when things like that happen. I bought a CL from a woman in the US via eBay and was happy with her quote of $35.00 postage. I received an email from her letting me know that the postage had worked out cheaper and she refunded $16.00 to my paypal account and apologised for the misquote.:) Add that to the fact that the condition of the CL far exceeded her description and I was one happy buyer. People are basically good ... there are only a few bad apples in the barrel. :D

I too have had excellent dealings with Alex-photo and will gladly do so again.

I bought a FED 2 from compurman on eBay. He messaged me after sending it and said he'd overcharged £3 on postage and offered me a cheque. Before I could reply and say thanks for your honesty, easier to forget it though, he refunded it into PayPal. It is nice when people show honesty. I've had other items where the post label showed quite a bit less than I'd paid. Businesses get away with it by claiming time and materials for postage, which is a reasonable claim if the amount isn't great. I think some private sellers overcharge to cover listing and PayPal costs, which is naughty.

I bought my Zorki-4 from Alex-photo. It took about 2 weeks after purchase for the camera to arrive from Donetsk, Ukraine to Australia. He or she is an honest seller; the camera was in good conditions as described.
I have this seller in my favourite group of sellers.

So here i sit at my computer, 3 beers later and Im checking out a Zorki 6 being sold by Alex-photo. Beer and GAS is a deadly combination!
He's the one Id trust buying from.

I think im incorrect, maybe it was Grizzlybear who is the female who is actually a model.........

Well somehow I double posted ,but, any way there was one of the sellers who was female and a model.Im not refering to Anya. Also, if I remember correctly Alex is actually 3 people working together, cant remember. But any way, heres Anyas website.

Alex isn't female, though there's another group who also have an Alex in their team. Alex Komarov's team is composed of him, Sergei, and Roman. They also run another ebay group, "asr-photo".
