Darkroom printing lives
Yeah, I've been warned, ample times. But here I am on the verge of accepting that I am really in a deep stream, with a very slippery bottom.
Just a month ago I was fumbling about with a 4x5 Crown Graphic, trying to just get a picture, any pictures.
An this week I ended up with a Calumet 4x5 View camera with 3 Schneider-lenses and 1 Calumet tele, complete with a hefty tripod with a Bogen head.
The seller told me that if I just sell one of the lenses, I could have already made a profit above what I paid him for the kit.
And according to my research, he's right
So, what was my point...
Nothing, I guess, other than... Heeeeeelp!

Hello:
Congratulations on a great kit.
I've noticed, at least for myself, that actually taking photographs inhibits further purchases of equipment. So, good light to you!

PS I'm off to the Falls for some photography.

Dear Will,
It gets worse. Sooner or later, you'll stop piddling around with baby formats and buy something bigger...
FWIW, having gone as far as 12x15 inch, I find the 'ideal format' to be 5x7 inch/13x18cm/half plate (all interchangeable in the same standardized cameras, using holders with different-sized internal dimensions).
Cheers,
R.
