I was shooting with a 203FE and 40mm CF lens (not CFE), camera in Aperture Auto mode.

Wasn't paying attention to the aperture setting, and thinking that the meter would select the correct shutter speed when the lens shut down to the selected aperture.

Well, it doesn't.

I suppose the meter isn't fast enough to respond. I think it used the shutter at full aperture, and I can't recall what aperture I shot at (probably not full). So probably shot 2 rolls of underexposed film.

sigh.

Moral of the story .... shoot lots and get to know your gear.....

Never assume that the camera is set correctly from the last time you used it...
I have to remind myself to look at all the settings just to make sure that they are set correctly for what I'm doing right now...
If something doesn't feel right check it...
