They look very nice. And heck, we've all got to collect something (it's a primal urge from our hunter/gatherer days!). When you put a group of similar things together, it just looks more interesting. Like a flock of parrots versus just one parrot!

I could say that the third shot in the top post is out of balance by one lens cap but I won't. :D

Man, shouldn't you be out working or something to support your habit?

Kenny

Could you list the camera models for us?
I have the Konica I, II, III, IIIM, Auto S2, Auto S3.

Every Konica I've tried so far has been great.
The III, the S, and the C35, not to mention slr's. All top notch.

1st row top to bottom all Konica l , middle cam has the 3.5 lens other two have the 2.8

2nd row are all Konica ll's very top is the Konica lla

3rd row all Konica lll's top cam is the llla.

Images out of all appear to be same quality.

Thanks Raid , hope all is well

I have dad's Konica 50/3.5 M.I.O.J. (A Konica I according to internet nomenclature) that he purchased in Japan sometime between 1949 & 1951. One of the best lenses that I have had the pleasure of recording images with. Certainly one of the best range/view finders that I have ever used. I'll get the serial number and see where it falls in your collection.
Konica. When Leica quality isn't good enough.

Hi Tom,
All is fine at my end. Thanks.
What are the differences between the II and IIa?
I know that the III is very different from the IIIM or IIIA.

Raid the difference is the lens. The lla use the 48mm f 2.0 lens like the lll.
The only difference between the lla and the lll is the shroud around the back half
Of the lens. They seem to be rare. Have only seen two on the bay
Since I have been involved with them , got mine out of the UK.

Do tbey have the same VF in the camera?
This is quite interesting.
I have not before of the IIa.

You must be bored and trying to start a fight with the Leica owners. :D :D

However, we had the son of a professional photographer working for us in Korea. He was told by his father that many pro photographers not only in Korea, but throughout the far east, preferred Konicas as superior cameras especially for their lenses.

That's a fine collection Tom. Fortunately I have conquered my GAS problem. BTW, where can one buy a good copy of one of those? :D :D
