Does anybody have (or have pictures of) the "smaller round lens hood" for the Voigtlander 35/1.4 Nokton? This is not the LH-6 vented hood but an alternative listed on Cameraquest. It comes with a cap and sounds similar to the hood that came with my Color-Skopar 35/2.5C LTM. Thank you.

I've used it for the last few rolls, BJ, but found out it vignettes slightly (at f8 and up) with a filter.

I recommend the heavystar small wide angle hood instead.

Here is a quick&dirty pic of the two. Heavystar on the left, Cameraquest on the right:

Note that the Cameraquest hood does not vignette on the Nikkor 35/1.8.

I was looking for a small hood to make the lens fit into a Leica ER case, which it does not with the LH-6.

Cheers,

Roland.

ferider, is that an M6 without engravings on the left? Never seen one before.

It's an early M6 with no engravings on the top (typical). The front has some black tape over it. Some small print on the back.

Cheers,

Roland.

Didn't try it without filter, but I assume no vignetting (vignetting with filter is very small).

Don't have the camera with me now, but I believe a bit of intrusion on a Leica.

The hood is also very usable on your Nikkor 50/1.4 🙂

If this small round hood for the 35/1.4 Nokton is the same as the one for the 40/1.4, I like it a lot. I use it on the Canon 28/2.8 (with Canon to 43 step up ring), and would like another for the 40 Nokton. I have a few Heavystar 43mm hoods, they work well. For the M8, and RD1, I like the conical shaped ones without vents.

Good to know. Thanks again. And yeah I like that it has the 43mm thread like my Nikkor.
