Sneaky (cat!)

There's a hairball treatment you can get from your vet for this. Laxatone. Had this problem with my tuxedo, Baby! She is small already, 9 pounds, she lost 2 pounds. Vet visit wasn't cheap! But a good vet. The Laxatone is around $10. Helps kitty pass hairballs! Baby's also on a special diet also. She eats Purina Pro Plan hairball dry food.

The vet gave us a similar medication

Sneaky is still sick. I took him back to the vet on Friday and they decided that he has an infection. He's taking antibiotics now, and will have to take them a total of 21 days. He does seem to be improving finally. He killed a mouse tonight! First one since January.

Photo is old, just to have something cute to look at.

Sneaky is taking a liquid antibiotic, so pill pockets won't work. I have to squirt it into his mouth with a measuring syringe, and he is NOT happy about it.

I have always had to give my cat pills, with a pill launcher. It's hard to get his mouth open and he fights me all the way, with the aid of his claws. After a few misses (and a little blood), I finally get one into his mouth, then I hold it closed so that he'll swallow it. Even so, I still occasionally find pills that he has managed to eject afterwards. I'm definitely the bad guy in these moments.

Pill pockets don't fool Joey.

A Polaroid snapshot of my cat Sneaky curled up on the floor of my living room, sleeping among my piles of books.

I shot the last photographs for my Polaroid SX-70 Project early this year, but still have a number of them to scan.

Sneaky had a good thanksgiving. We had steaks, filet mignon, instead of turkey. Since Sneaky likes his steak mixed with chicken, I grilled a chicken tender for him, which I mixed in with his steak.

He ate a ton of meat. These photos were made after he had eaten more than half of it. Check out that tongue slurping up pieces of meat!

Sneaky used to sneak into my hall closet and sleep in the laundry basket full of towels all the time, but he hadn't done it in a long time. Recently, he's been sleeping in there again. He knows how to open the door just enough that he can slither in, while staying closed enough that people won't notice him. I opened it to get this photo last night, then closed it back up. He slept there a couple more hours!
