Sneaky (cat!)

A couple days ago, my son snapped this photo of Sneaky sleeping in my arms like a baby, as he does several times a day. If my arms get tired and I have to put him down, he'll jump back on me 5 minutes later and walk up onto my chest, staring into my eyes till I put my arm under him so he can lay back down for more sleep!

Well, naps are good for people too.

As you may recall, I had to put down my beloved kitty a couple years ago and it took a loooooong time to get over it.

But, it was time, and today, we introduced a 2 yo handsome orange fellow onto our premises.

No pictures yet because he's still in hiding, having endured the arduous 20 min trip home in my lap, nor does he yet have a name ... well, he has a name, I just can't pronounce it.

Looking forward to pictures!

Sneaky has a message for Larry:

Also: "Don't let them feed you dry food; they feed that 💩 to dogs! You're a cat, a nobleman, a king, They're your slaves; filthy peasants. You own them. Never forget that, and NEVER let them forget it!"

Hope Sneaky doesn't see this. I see he's already posted here....but your cat is beautiful. He still looks like he's a little scared. Hopefully he comes out of his shell soon.

He was pretty much adjusted within a few hours. The family came over later in the evening and Larry was handing out head bumps to everyone, to the great joy of my grandson. He then decided to demonstrate his powerful voice, first at 3am and then at 6am. He also provided vivid proof that he approves of his sandbox.

The shelter told us that Larry was part of a household with a number of animals. Apparently, there was some family problem and they had to rehome every animal so they could deal with whatever was going on. Based on the paperwork provided, he's probably been in the shelter for a couple of months, so I think he's REALLY happy to have his own, large kingdom...

A little bit ago, I was sitting on the sofa and Sneaky was curled up next to me sleeping with his tongue out, and his head under the cover of a book! I can't believe he didn't wake up when I got up to get my camera, but he kept sleeping till I got the shots; then he woke up and pulled in the tongue.

He sleeps like this every once in a while; its always funny to see him asleep with that pink tongue sticking out 👅

Sneaky loves to sleep in my baskets of clean clothes. Usually I put them away before he has a chance to curl up in them; but yesterday he got a few hours of sleep with my clean laundry.

Later in the evening, I was getting some dirty clothes ready to take to the basement to wash. Sneaky jumped in the basket, kneaded the dirty clothes for a few minutes, then jumped out and started demanding food!

The mistake is believing it is your basket...

Presumably (depending upon what he might have been treading in 😱) your "clean laundry" sometimes becomes your not-so-clean laundry.

Dear Sneaky -

I hope it is OK to briefly threadjack this forum to bring you up to speed on my new habitat and the hoomans that brought me there.

The digs are nice, the food is good, and the sanitary conditions are to my expectations.

It turns out that the hoomans had been trained thoroughly by my predecessor. A few good nips a light claw touches brought them right in line.

I am still tired from the exhausting 20 minute drive it took to get here from my former prison where I had been incarcerated for about 2 months. I am working hard to maintain a solid 16-18 hour a day sleep regimen in hopes it can conquer my PTSD - Paws Traumatic Sensory Deprivation.

All in all, it's not bad and I feel that a month or two more and I should have this household sorted to my specifications.

My warmest regards to you and wishing you great success in bringing violent death upon your enemies.

With best wishes,
I remain,

Larry

He looks very content and relaxed. ❤️ Much nicer than being in kitty jail!
