It's in the 50s here in Chicago again. While I miss the snow, I know (ok, hope) it will come. Just started building snow shoes with the family at school this morning. Still have lots of work to do here and up north on yards before it gets too wet and cold.

Joe, sunny and 15C (59F) in Hamilton ON yesterday! Feels weird hanging Christmas lights while barbequeing.....

Were not trying to rub it in. Well, maybe those in Southern Calif are. But we know it's comin' soon. Just enjoying the calm before the storm.

joe,
I know my winters aren't nearly so long or so cold, but we haven't seen ours yet and I am not looking forward to it. At least I don't have to shovel the snow any more! And I hope you don't either!
So, where is Kyle in this discussion?:D
Rob

Vancouver looks like Ottawa today. And Ottawa looks like Vancouver (5 degrees and raining here). But it seems that Edmonton looks like Edmonton. I feel for you Joe.

On a related note, I've always wondered about windchill. If it "feels like" -33, then what's the point of telling people that it is "actually" only -23? Is that just to make us feel better about our frozen toes?

With the heat index it is 75 F in sunny Cape Canaveral, FL. I think I feel some persperation on my upper lip!:p

Joe

Please dont stay out too long at -23 you lose a lot of energy just breathing as you head down to -40.

Noel

i pushed some snow around and walked the dog, that was it for today.
i'm stuck at home while waiting for a part for my car to come in from toronto.
on thursday, the driver's side windshield wiper arm exploded into a few pieces. it's hard to drive in a snow storm with no wiper.

joe

Naw, it will stop in Hamilton and not touch the vidal and riesling vines left for icewine in Beamsville/NOTL. :D Those can wait until mid-late December.

joe: last time I was in Edmonton it was -23F, but no real wind chill. Headed down to Cowtown and it was only -17 but damper and felt like -40.

As Noel said, take care. The cardio exercise at those temps takes about 10 sec. and then you've had enough.
