"So, how did you do it..." -type of questions

I have emailed some formidably brilliant photographers and they all replied in a warm and generous way and said I can ask for more help etc should I need it.

My shots are crap, so nobody asks me. But, if they did, I'd say 'raise the camera to your face, press the button, hope'. 🙂

My friends all use digital cameras, and when they ask "why do your pictures look so good?" the answer really is "it's film". Not that they are good pictures content-wise, but my pics have a look my friends can't get out of their digital point and shoots. I then start to talk about how I develop my pictures at home, etc, and whoever initially asked will promptly fall asleep.

Love to be asked. Tell 'em everything. Sometimes they're interested in the full story. Most times the answer is the Zeiss C Sonnar, but there are other skills I've learned too.
