Hi, all. I have a Rolleicord III I picked up for $85. The lenses had some fungus, but not anymore 😀. There are two problems now:
1) The advance is a little wonky. When I'm winding on (usually frames 4-6, but sometimes others), I push in the button on the wind knob to advance on, but it locks after a fraction of a turn (like, say, 1/16 of a turn or less). If I push the button again (and again, and again) I can advance the film, but it's not the ideal situation, I'm afraid. What could be the problem and how would I go about fixing this?
2) The shutter speeds are slightly slow (and the slowest are a little gummed up).
I'm not interested in sending this out for a CLA. I need to do the work myself (I'm unemployed, so the idea of spending $150-$200 on an $85 camera is incredibly laughable to me).
