Where is everyone purchasing their M-mount lens?! For the past year I have not seen any of the big-box camera retailers getting their Zeiss ZM lenses out of "backorder"..
I am finally close buying one for my M2, which has been a CLA'd paperweight this whole time.. *single tear*

Used, or through ebay. I call the local shops and online California shops to see what is in stock and plan accordingly. Takes a few minutes and it supports the small guy.

The classifieds on RFF is a good place to start.
What are you looking for? Someone may be looking to sell!

Checking the classified on a random basis, but I will be traveling soon. I was hoping to just be able to snag a lens before I head to my destination.
This will be my first M-mount, so wanted something a bit more walk around, starting with the 35mm f/2 Biogon. What do you think?

B&H and Adorama have good email notification systems to let you know when things become available. That worked for my Zeiss and Voigt lenses.

Thanks. Been signed up for awhile. Guess something's up with manufacturing..

Why not widen your search and look for Leica's own lenses? Some of us think they are quite good... ;-) And it seems a shame to have that lovely camera doing nothing.

Get an adapter and use LTM lenses......if you want new gear, CV's with adapters are great on M's.

I bought my 35 Biogon brand new from B&H just before Christmas. I don't know if it was just luck or what, but I feel that they replenish their stock fairly frequently.

Check the classifieds. I'll be putting up 2 summicrons fairly soon.

So then definitely get an LTM lens or two and get shooting. You can still get f/3.5 Summaron lenses for much less than a ZM lens and the Summaron is nothing to scoff at. There are some amazing optics out there in LTM, some of the best lenses ever, many of them pretty affordable.
A bunch of them on RFF, even now.

I'll go with kzphoto. Evilbay is a good place to find Leica and M-mount lenses (used) at reasonable prices, if you make sure to look carefully before you buy.
If you are looking for the 35mm Biogon / C-Biogon and the 50mm Planar / C-Sonnar, you have to be quick. Once they come into stock, they are bought quickly. Better to keep an eye out here or ebay for Zeiss.

B&H seems to replenish their Zeiss lenses every couple months.

I've bought two Leica lenses from KEH.com. Check out their site.

I've bought from KEH, Adorama, B&H, the classifieds here and eBay for M and LTM lenses. I'd just make sure you can return it if it doesn't live up to your expectations.

Thanks for all the responses. I've slimmed my search down to the CV 40mm f/1.4.
