Check this beauty out that just sold on ebay: 7564882749
The final price was determined within the final 2 or 3 seconds.
I expect this one will disappear into a collection and never be used again. Kinda sad, really.

Amazing. On the other hand, it hurts me more when I see less 'cultured' third-party LTM lenses that go unsold at silly low reserves or sell with one bid for $9.99 or something like that. If I didn't already have three of each of them, I'd bid to give 'em a good home. Personally, I've always liked Scheider optics.

So it was you guys who drove the price up on this baby?
I had been tracking this. It was sad to see it go the way it did. I hate last second bidders. And even more the Daddy Warbucks bidders; I doubt this will be a shooter.

If you want top-notch Scheider glass Dirt Cheap, get a Retina IIIS. I've picked up an 50/f1.9 for $10, a 35/f2.8 for $30, an 85/f4 for $50, a 90/f4 for $35...

Alternatively, buy an entire Retina IIIc and get a Schneider Xenon 50mm/1.9 lens on a very pocketable and useful camera.

A wealthy individual with money to burn. This characterizatioin derives from a character in an ancient American comic strip called Little Orphan Annie.
