Hi All
I like to use a soft release button on my M8 but I've just lost another one:(, that's 3 in the last six months, I know they aren't very expensive but has anyone come up with a method of fixing them other than using Loctite which I don't really fancy doing?

I have lost 2 over the past year or so. I know some use nail polish to keep them in place. Don't think i'd resort to such measure or any sort of glue.

Just be more careful i suppose.

I am curious to see what others would say.

I've used loctite on 4 of my soft release since I lost my first one...... I use very minimal, let it dry and wipe any excess...... since then, no problem.

I have used a very small dot of Elmer's glue on my soft releases--let it dry and then screw the release in-- and that seems to give just enough added friction that I've not lost on from my cameras since. (Finding the black one at the bottom of my camera bag is another matter and why I now use brighter colors!:D )

this works perfectly

I have not had any soft release buttons coming off cameras. I only have trouble with the paint coming off the buttons. I guess the nail polish trick could work here. :D

I use the Elmer's glue as it is water based and most nail polish is acetone based and I am concerned what the acetone might do to the camera.
