Plastic-coated twistie
Plastic-coated twistie
I was using my M4-P with classic softie today at A CMA motorcycle blessing. The blessings are'nt given in any order so I had to run around the lot to catch one. The last one broke up before I could shoot so I ended with a cocked shutter. The only thing I had was a black plastic-coated twistie like the ones found securing electronic cords. I took it an gave it a double wrap under the softie. I just had to test it: the shutter would not fire! So if you have a few lying around put'em in your bag. They take up less room than the hair ties (I agree it's a great tip). Mine is just another option. Might work well with the mini-release. I don't have a mini so I can't give a test.
Plastic-coated twistie
I bought a pack of "hair ties" at the local pharmacy, and they work just great. No more tripping the camera by accident. It only takes a second to undo the tie, it just "pops" underneath my TomA softies, it's a perfect fit! With the cheapo pressed-out ones, I have to wrap the hairtie around the base of the softie. No big deal.
-Dan, whose hair is getting longer.

Australia and New Zealand might be close and we all get on well but it's NOT the same place bizarrius!
As NZ is one of the first places in the world to see the light of every new day we are at the front of time and we at at the top of the list.
Try and keep up if you can
