Are these the concave or convex softreleases? Could you post a pic? I might be interested in a few.
Thank You

I've enjoyed using the one I got from Joe earlier. It reminds me a bit of a satellite dish, but it works!
What colour are these new ones, Joe, and how much do you want for them?

Joe, I wish I could say that it works a treat for me, but honestly, it does not. Perhaps it is the cameras I'm trying it on, or maybe it's just me. I should send the one you sent me on to Ralph, as a birthday present!

no problem frank, it's not like i designed and manufactured them.
i like them on shutter releases that are a bit low.
they work great on the canon p and 7 but so-so on the bessa r.
they look rediculous on the oly 35rc and just feel wrong on the zorki.
on the kiev only ok.
it depends on how you hold a camera, where the release is as compared to where your finger falls.
it's definately a try and see if you like it kinda thing.
also these ARE big and that changes the feel from a smaller one.

Thank you Frank, that is very nice. Lets coordinate with Joe though so I don't end up with two.
I actually have a mini soft release that I put on my camera, but it is tallish and I ended up releasing the shutter a couple times unexpectedly. The one Joe is talking about sounds shallower which may be better for me.

I've been using the Nikon soft release's (AR-9). They're concave, black, say "Nikon" on them and are just the right size for the tip of my index finger. $6.99 and readily available.

I have the same one, it could fit and use with Leica perfectly but not on my R2 since it's gonna be blocked by shutter speed dial. With my friend's M6, it could be the best soft release shutter, the diameter is like a "tailor made"

joe,
I wasn't on your original little list but if you've got extras I'd be interested.
Are the releases screwed down tight in the pics you posted?

rob,
yes they are screwed down as far they go (on the 'p') in the pics.
the first release is a sample of the ones i have - the one in the back is, i think, the tom abrahamson one.
i have enough to send you one. p.m. me your address, i didn't keep it from before.
