Sokol Automat ? Any experience ?

Hi,

I just won an auction on a Sokol Automat. (sudden GAS attack 🙄 )
I read about it on the net, but would like some info from fellow RFF-ers. So, anyone has this camera at home? Anyone using it? Any experience? Pros or cons? Anything... 😕

Also, Sokol 2 is a slightly modernized version of Sokol automat. Anyone here has a Sokol 2 ? Any experience ?

I got a Sokol 2 one week ago in mint condition. The price was extra low - $10 😀
I was really amazed with test results!
Pro
-very good (for FSU) mechanics, smooth operation
-good bright and informative vf with bright frame and digital indication of T/A in auto mode and needle indication of over/underexposure in manual mode. Parallacs correction.
-very good autoexposure and you even can vary a T/A pair. I am not sure now in kind of battery - mine came with it.
- silent central shutter 1-1/250
- very sharp lens - I-70 , 50/2.8
- interesting and convenient backwind - on the left side
Contra
- design - like a brick - a little bit thicker than the first Canonet
- inconvenient shutter release button - on the front side
- low front light resistance of the lens and not so good bokeh - IMO - I personally do not like tessar bokeh.
