So I want to use my LTM lenses on my "new" M2. I will go Leitz original of course. I have 50mm and 35mm lenses so what I've learned I need two adapters to get the framelines right for both of them? A way around that problem would be to just buy a 50mm framelined adapter and when using a 35mm lense just simply cover the frame window with black tape, as the VF is pretty much 35mm?

Buy two. With luck and patience, you can get them on ebay for $30-$50 dollars. Or at least I was able to do that.
Which 35 & 50 LTM lenses do you have?
Good luck!

The M2 full viewfinder is more like 28mm. I am afraid you will need two adapters. But for 35 and slower 50mm lenses no-name adapters will
do, IMO. For example from Marumi. Only with 50/1.4 and faster you
might get a difference, in my experience on an M3 only. If you are a little
patient you get good used Leitz adapters for US 40 or so.

Some advice before buying a LTM to M-bayonet adapter
---------------------------------------------------------------------
micromoogman, with an M2, #14,097, Leica says, is good for 21mm, 28mm and 50mm...#14,099 is good for 35mm and 135mm...but the first one should be close enough until you decide to get both...with an M3, the 14,097 is good for 21mm up to 50mm...

Very confused
I am using CV adapters on an M7 with CV 28/3.5, 50/2.5 and 90/3.5 lenses and find functionality and focus to be fine. I have only two minor gripes:
1 The red dots are rather small and it would be better to have bigger ones, which would need to be placed on the lens barrels;
2 The centre-line of the top of the lens does not quite align with the camera: when screwed tight it's about a mm short. No big deal, but ...

Thank you all for fast replies. The cheapo way to solve it didn't work then...if sticking to the original Leitz plan. But 28mm full VF is pretty close for the Voigtländer 25/4 I got
Venchka, why I'm getting it is to use lenses that aren't Summicron sharp but rather soft like Summar, Elmar, Canon and not to mention the russian lenses.

Want: Summaron 3,5 or a "crappy" Elmar 3,5. The J12 is too big for the case!
Have: Canon 50/1,8, Summar, Elmar 50/2,8 M, Voigtländer Skopar 25/4, Jupiter 12, Industar 10/22/50/61LD, Fed...
LeicaIIIb, Contax, Kiev, Robot, Konica C35 and various toy cams...

You definitely don't "need" Leitz adapters. I have used Leitz, Voigtlander, Marumi and Bower adapters without any issues on M7 and M6TTL.
