Nick: I have read the thread, and it tells me what I should do if I do the developing myself. Basically, the developing resulted in an overexposure and the following scan made things even worse. I will look for alternative ways to get the job done well.

"I'm with Pablo and Juergen: develop normally. A stop of overexposure will have reduced sharpness slightly and increased grain size slightly (the latter more than you would get with 'old technology' films such as Ilford HP5 or Kodak Tri-X) but you may end up preferring the tonality.
