2 Weeks ago I ran a roll of film through my Argus C-44, just to see what the 50mm Cintagon could do

Apparently it does pretty well

Anyone fancy a game of Crown & Anchor?

Engine trouble (not the same Jeep as above btw)

I find the C-44 to be a pretty nice camera. Focusing can be a bit akward to the untrained user, with the over the eye focusing wheel. The shutter release button is smooth as silk. The firing of the shutter is slightly loud in a "Kerrr-click" kinda way.
I'm sure this one will get to see more use in the near future.

Cheers,

They look good to me Mr. Fibble! The contrast is about right for my old eyes and they seem reasonably crisp! I'll have to look for one of those cameras to go with the C3's I have. Does the 44 have interchangeable lenses?

Tom

Good work, Mr. Fibble!
Tom, yes these are interchangeable. And, I found them to be a big pain to change.

Thanks for the responses,

I had already read about the lenses being a pain to change. But so far I've only got the 50mm Cintagon that came with it. I did waste a few annoying minutes before it came off so I could clean everything.

As I recall the film was Kodak BW400CN.
