I disagree, Oscar. For travel genre photos for the most part, they're good! Believe it or not, they're still print media pubs that buy these type photos. Thanks, Bill. 😉

OK, they're good for throwaway credit card-sponsored travel magazines and airline magazines (the ones that are left)

I found the comments interesting too. I had to bite my tongue and not say what I felt about most street photography being maudlin/cheesy because I realize most of it is not to my taste. Just not my cup-o-tea.

They're fine. Not at all what I would take or buy, but well done, none-the-less.

I guess that's not really macho enough for here is it. So here, I'll try again: I've deleted better stuff that that in my sleep. Besides, where's the nekid chicks.

They're very well shot and for the most part they're the kind of photos you have to go very far out of your way to achieve. I quite like em! I wouldn't put them on my wall or anything but I did start out in photography revering this kind of thing even if my sights have changed in the interim

Really? I cant say that I produced photos that good. If I did - I'd be pretty happy with them. Can you say that your photos are better? If so - lets see them!

I have no criticism of the photographs as such ... but they remind me of the types of photos that people constantly send to me via email with a link or powerpoint slideshow etc.

They do this out of the kindness of their hearts because knowing I'm a photographer they're convinced I'll be highly impressed and grateful for the HU of such fabulous pics! 🙄

Thanks for the link. I'll pay attention to any work that has has gone through a rigorous selection or editorial process. I don't have to like the stuff (in this case I didn't much,) but at least I'm looking at the best of what some competent critic thinks has merit. Sometimes it makes me more open; makes me question my limited interests, though that's hard to determine at any one moment.

Selecting critics and reviewers is its own neglected endeavor. I don't see a play or movie without some prior assurance that I'm not wasting time and money; I like to browsing photos that have made it into commercial print or are hanging on a gallery wall. I don't read a new (to me) author without some recommendation. In each case, the external nod of approval is not a sure bet, but it improves the odds.
