I love it when this happens ... someone gave me a packet of negatives recently that she inherited from her grandfather's estate and asked me to scan them. There was about eighty of them and a fair few of them were exposure or focusing disasters but as always with these sorts of things there were some real gems. Mostly family and kids pics and they were all 127 and mostly in pretty good condition.

Film lives ... 🙂

Rescuing old memories is a good deed.

I like the photo with the kids in the door way and pops with the little girl while partly submerged in the water .

Best Regards,

Those are great Keith. I love looking through old negs. A guy I used to work with found a shoebox full of 127 and 6x6 negs that his dad shot during WWII in Europe, but he never let me scan them. Sure there were some real gems in there.

I too like to imagine where the people in the photographs are now. And what kind of life they had.

Thanks again for sharing. Very cool.

Best,
-Tim

Photo #5 is similar to a photo of Walker Evans! Familiar shots belongs in my opinion to the most important genre of photography.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos with us, Keith. This is the reason I like film: ability to revisit long gone photos.
Now I have to start scanning all the negatives, shot by my grandfather, and given to me by my grandmother. Some go back to around 1950.

Thanks ... from the information I've been given these were taken around sixty five years ago.

And yes ... film is a marvel. Even though I'm not using it personaly currently I hope it never leaves us.
