I haven't posted in awhile, and these shots are taken downtown
Huntsville, and one of my cat on the messy enclosed back porch.
I now have two 35RCs up and running.

Film is cheap Arista 400 and scanned at 2400dpi on Epson 4490.

Very nice. I see what appears to be hints of flare on the alley shot. I take it you had the f-stop opened up a bit? I was fortunate enough to have obtained a lens hood for mine, you might want to consider one as well, if that is indeed flare. And your cat looks more than a little like my late, lamented pet. The first shot is just stunning!

Hi Bill,
Thanks for your comments. Yes, I'm thinking that is flare in the one
shot and I do have a rubber hood, too, but didn't bring it along that
day. I took another cam that I CLA'd myself the Agfa Isolette 4.5,
and it is a master at flare:

I can take this pic down if it's a party foul posting non-Olympus shots, here. The Oly alley shot
was in "A" mode. I might've gotten better results with manual settings.

Wow! Now that Agfa shot has some FLARE!

Oly made a special hood for the RC, it has a nice little cutout to keep it from blocking the viewfinder, I know the rubber 'toilet plunger' style can block the viewfinder unless you dock it with a pair of scissors or something.

My thought on your f-stop was just that sometimes closing down the aperture will help cure that sort of flare a bit. It certainly isn't distracting, I'm just used to looking for it in my own shots.

Thanks for the info about the rubber hood, I installed it on one my
35RCs when it arrived to make sure it was 43.5mm fit, then removed it. Like to see a pic sometime of the genuine OEM hood.

Yeah, I'm thinking stopped-down in manual mode might well have
yielded a better outcome on that shot.

Thanks again,

Bill

Here's someone in the UK selling the very item. I gather they are somewhat hard to find, but on the other hand, when they do come up, they don't cost a fortune, since few are looking for them.
