Some thoughts on holding out...

I am going through some major lusting for another camera. I have several medium format kits and an Xpan II kit that I am madly in love with but now I am wanting something a bit smaller and a rangefinder.

So, I am thinking that I am going to get a Bessa R2a and then buy the Zeiss Ikon glass when it is available. Might even wait to buy used glass. This way I can probably do it for under $1000 US.

Just felt like saying it out loud.

How about a medium format rangefinder, David? They 6x4.5 models can be quite compact and easy to carry... and you still get that big neg. 🙂

On this forum, that would be just tooooooo much to expect.

I'm curious, I've never seen an XPan in person to get a feel for the size. How big are they? I can't imagine it would be much worse to carry around than my Fuji GA645.

A used Leica M would be nice David. 🙂 You could get one and a collapsible Elmar or Sunmmicron for >=$1K... 😉
