I subscribed to Popular Photography for a long time. My confidence was first shaken when APS film was introduced, and they went on a tear hyping it as the Next Great Thing in photography. Then I noticed that all their reviews of Minolta cameras and lenses were glowing, even when their own test data was less than glowing. Then they dropped almost all coverage of film and film-based cameras when digital appeared. Then I cancelled my subscription.
