Yay! Cameras! šššā( ą² _ą² )ā [ā"]
Beautiful songs by a very talented singer/songwriter/guitarist. Loved both Paul's and Art's performances and solo efforts.
Brings back many good memories growing up/hanging out in the Boston/Cambridge/Harvard Sq. area in the 60's/70's.

I wish someone would buy the rights to make and process the film again - and do it!!! In the day, the fastest black and white film and the slowest color film coexisted as the perfect pair.

Only the Chinese could make such an endeavor profitable. Kodachrome emulsion consists of three black & white layers with numerous other layers which receive color ācouplersā (various chemicals) in a complex and expensive 14-step development process. This is unlike other color films which have the color layers within the film itself. Kodak published both the process and chemicals used, but to manufacture such an emulsion is also as complex as developing it. When processing of Kodachrome ended in 2010, a few āK-labā machines survived but I donāt know what has happened to them. I know of only one person, an amateur in Australia, who successfully performed the K-14 process. He did this for his own work but did not intend to make that a commercial venture.

.....thankfully Kodachrome slides ākeep wellā with normal storage and though we canāt shoot the film anymore millions of beautiful images have survived. Stereo slides on Kodachrome are Stunning!

I would have no problem if Sony would hire a Kodak color engineer to reengineer a digital Kodachrome profile for their Sony cameras. Plenty of simulations around, but I haven't found an accurate recreation of the film.
