Quick question: will this combination produce purple and cyan corners, color shift and vignetting?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Nope. This lens has no noticeable color shift on any NEX camera. Granted, I just sold mine, because the corners never totally sharpen up, even when stopping down quite a bit.
FWIW, the Contax G 35 also doesn't have corner shift issues on the 7. It technically has a little bit of shift if you shoot a test target, but I'd doubt that you'd see it in use. The 35 Summicron IV is essentially the same lens design, so I'd guess it would behave the same. Both ZM 35s exhibit quite a bit of shift on the NEX-7. I've heard the CV 35/1.2 is fine, but I've not use it, myself.

Doesn't the CV 40/1.4 perform better on digital sensors? At least I recall that conclusion in regards Micro 4/3 cameras. I tried using CV's 15mm and 25mm lenses on my E-P1 a couple of years ago, only to realize that the pancake lenses manufactured for the camera perform better. Adapted lenses in the longer focal lengths 40 and up perform much better.

Thank you for the info. I was wondering if its worth buying an adapter. My 21/4 is wonderfull in center but the color shift is horrible in corners... Thanks.

Agree with an earlier poster that the CV 35/1.4 does not color shift or vignette on the NEX 7.

The color shift is really not a concern since it can be corrected by Cornerfix.

I have used this combination for some weeks now, and I can't see any of the above mentioned problems. So I'm rather pleased with mys NEX-7 and CV Nokton 1,4/35 mm.

Thank you for your input, everybody.
I tried that software (maybe not the right one, dont even remember where I downloaded it) and it did nothing for my combination of NEX and 21/4 lens. Picture looks weird, and I am generally not picky...
Maybe you can give me a link to the right stuff...

Finally at home...
I have not used a 35mm lens that has produced colour-shifts in the corner of my NEX-7 images.
28mm lenses are risky and anything below is almost sure to show that effect but not 35mm.
However, I have not shot with the CV 35/1.4.

I've owned both the ZM 35/2.8 and ZM 35/2, and they both have quite a bit of color shift on the Nex-7. In fact, even my ZM 50/1.5 had a little bit of color shift on the Nex-7. I've seen evidence of shift with the 35 Summicron Asph and 35 Summilux Asph, but I don't own them to do more tests.
I have been playing with the Zeiss 35 1.4 and have not seen any color shift. For the most part the 35 does really well. However the 15 does show some shift at the corners even with the vignetting filter.
