Adorama sells one, but I have not tried it out.

Has anyone tried the official Sony viewfinder? http://www.adorama.com/ISOFDASV1.html I am thinking of getting a NEX this year and I'd definitely want a viewfinder of some sort. This one is pricey, but might be worth it.

Taking the camera to amusement parks, I did feel that the LCD was a problem a couple of times in bright sun. The "sunny weather" setting is super-bright, but I'm afraid to use that all of the time due to running down the battery mostly but I'm also not sure if it is that good for viewing details. I am going to try to make a simple shade out of super thin plastic... [time passes] OK, I have a prototype. I don't think it'll be good enough, but maybe I'll test it out sometime and if it seems OK, I'll take more time and care on another version which actually is opaque. I'm using the same translucent plastic that I used last night to make my flash diffuser.
I love a good, cheap hack. ;-) Or two.
