sound off...who still has an rd1?

I do.

And I'm liking it (and the whole rangefinder experience) so much, I'm getting some film gear and a scanner. R-D1 stays.

Mine's in the classifieds - haven't used it since I got an M8 but still take it on trips where it's my backup body.

I'm not parting with mine yet. Haven't used it these last 2 weeks, but then again I've not had much time to do any photography, and there hasn't been any interesting event since then. I will probably be using it again next week now that I've got my J-3 back in working order (aperture ring was stuck from all the dust that got in it on the Roll on the Meuse tour)

It's my main shooter, backed up by some classic 35mm RF cameras and sometimes an MF camera.

I do!

My favourite camera is looking just fine in it's new camera leather. Just enjoying a change of pace with the E-P1 at the moment.

Fly off on Sunday to Sweden, Germany then Hong Kong. Both cameras will get used. DSLR stays at home...

i have.
(and the E-P1, too)

and i do not need to fly to get to germany. i just step outside my door.

(PS: I was half-expecting a yes, no poll. :p)

I don't. But I wish I did.

Sold after a tax bill at least 18 months ago. Today, with sterling plummeting, they're still the same price...

I do...

The 0.68x VF of the M9 is too wide for me so i'm still resisting GAS and i stick to my R-D1 and R-D1s bodies so far.

Alas I sold mine a few months ago. Not sure it was the best thing I ever did :bang: I will keep my eyes open for another in good order. It is avery good camera.

Sold mine to finance a M7ii. I miss the ability to shoot in low light and quick results though. Maybe the X1 will fill that void.

Bought in April this year, i still have mine. and I like it. I was tempted a couple of weeks back to get an M8 from my local dealer who has a mint, used one in stock, at a decent price but it would mean trading in / selling the RD1 to fund it.
I've been out this morning with both the RD1 and an M8 loaned to me by a friend. While the M8 is a good camera, I find very little special or different about it to encourage me to change. Yeah, the bigger screen is nice, the shutter seems quieter and there's a little less button pushing when reviewing images, but that's all.

I do. Actually, I have an R-D1 and an R-D1s (don't know what I was thinking) so I need to sell one. :)

I could see going for an M8.2 one day, or an M9 -- but now for now....

I got mine since last april. I bought it because at the moment I stop to shoot films and I miss the RF. ( M4/M6)

I use an D700, but the R-D1 is another ( love ?) story. This camera is a piece of art. I wanted to own and use this objet in my fotografic life.

So now ? Buy another one ? Sell my house and buy an M9 ? I hope that epson or other will continue this way, digital RF, after all, there are billion of M's lenses around the world, and so potential customers.
