it's not all that surprising, considering digitalrev is a very popular web camera program, and that kai is a leica enthusiast. probably partially popular opinion, but that show might also have some influence on camera popularity as well.
also, we should remember that HK is considered a special administrative region of china and with separate laws and a different political system and even a different dialect of spoken language (all regions have dialects but all of them speak mandarin as well, in HK you can get by knowing only cantonese and/or english).
i wonder how many of those 50% are mainlanders, and further, how many are in places other than beijing and shanghai.
