I own both, and in my view, besides the compactness of the Helios, there is no comparizon at all... <snip>....But perhaps you have a different view and may want to express it.

While I agree the soviet turret finders are very nice (I have used one) I find them a bit on the bulky side for general use. I also like having a finder that shows more than the given lens will capture, it allows me to see what is close to the frame edges and also shows anything about to move into/thru the frame. That being said I'm sure a finder that shows ~28mm to the edges with 35mm, 85mm, 135mm frame lines (the Helios) has to be crude to use with a 85/135 lens, here the turret will leave it for dead, also the turret has parallax adjustment that’s got to be handy using the longer lenses say for portraits. My interest in the Helios was because I mostly use 35mm and 50mm lenses and only very occasionally a 85mm (I'm yet to use/own a 135mm) a finder that gives ~28mm to the edges, 35mm frame lines, a minimal 50mm marker of some sort and 85mm frame lines (no 135mm) would be my ideal jack of all trades finder. Given that the Helios finder were being sold for £6 each on sale and is close to my ideal I thought it would be worth a look 🙂
