I actually had girlfriend that said "film is dead, get over it!" . She ran an in-home daycare & took photos with a $100 Sony.

My wife never worries about me when I am out taking photographs. She always worries when I am out on my bike. She never questions my hobbies, I know she is hoping I will 'grow' out of the latter though. She is very supportive of my photography, but just tolerates the biking.
 
My last girlfriend asked me "...why do you need all those cameras?" "I'll make you a deal; I won't ask why you need all those shoes, if you don't ask me why I need all these cameras." She's gone and I bought a new camera to celebrate!
