Just been looking at my copy of a good book :- 'LEICA witness to a century' - by Alessandro Pasi, it carries a picture of the late Yul Brynner, relaxing between filming, and taking candid shots with his M3, apparently he was a keen snapper. A few weeks ago, in another book I was browsing, were some pictures of Sammy Davis Jnr. doing the same, but with his Rollieflex, I wonder how many other stars of stage and screen were also keen photogs?, and what they used?, just for a bit of fun - can anyone add to my list?
Dave.

Brad Pitt comes to mind (Leica R and M), Wim Wenders (Leica M, director), Seal (S2, M9, a couple of other M Leicas and a member here), Woody Allen ...

Stanley Kubrick starts as a photographer, also a Leica shooter, in film "Barry Lyndon", he modified a Zeiss lens 50mm/f0.7 to fit on a cine camera to shot a candle light scene. More at Here

One of the latest crop of teenage angsty girl movie/singing things also claimed recently to want to be a photographer, I forget her name (sorry, I'm old and they all blend together in their black nail polish-and-eye-shadow angstyness).

My employer's HQ is in Arizona, and before they moved to a new building, they had some big enlargements of his early color work, tucked away in a side hallway hardly anybody used. Must be early Kodachrome, as it was late '30's/early '40's as I recall. Who knows what color printing process, or how old the prints were.

Really, really good stuff.
