Sticky Leaf Shutter (Voigtlander Vito B)

Have been gifted a Voigtlander Vito B which had a frozen shutter.

It's no trouble to get access to the rear of the shutter on these, so put a couple of drops of naphtha on there which freed it up immediately.
Despite re-applying naphtha 5-6 times and cleaning with a q-tip, the shutter doesn't always close after firing. It works a majority of the time across all speeds (even the timing on the slow speeds seems ok), but every now and again is lazy on closing the shutter.

Suggestions ? More naphtha and working the shutter ? or is it disassembly time to get access to the front of the shutter ?

Give the whole shutter a flush w/ the lighter fluid. The gap in the speed adjustment on the lens is a good place, or thru the self timer. On stubborn shutters, I have had to soak the blades from the rear w/ a wet Q tip of lighter fluid. You want it to seep thru to the other side that you can't get to. Don't worry about getting it on the front lens because you can put the shutter on B when you're finished and clean it then.

Disclaimer: I've had some shutters where nothing worked for very long and the blades would begin to stick if you didn't use the camera almost daily.

Thanks. I'll keep working at it with the naphtha.

I put a roll through it today just to try shooting with it to see if its worth persevering with.... and had a blast shooting with it. Vito B's are really nice cameras
