still having fun?

It's a definite yes from me. I'm still very new to all of this and the 'fun' hasn't stopped so far. The majority comes from taking the photographs but I also get a great deal of enjoyment and knowledge from the forum and it's members.

Today, I was shooting with the Nikon F4 & F5...Easter Sunrise Service...it's work but still fun...yesterday I was using the Mamiya m645...shot a roll with it...I just now rolled 6 rolls of APX 100 for the Spotmatic SP...
To answer your question...YES!!! I'm still having fun...

Yes most definitely.

The most fun is the learning part of it, seeing the results on my scanner. I keep a record my rolls, ie. what exposure, what developers etc, so I try to become better over time.

I have developed 66 rolls as of yesterday (since Jan), still a long way to go but I am using Law of Large Numbers to increase the number of keepers.

I do try to rotate the cameras but find myself gravitating towards the XA as daily-carry-everywhere camera.

Fun, absolutely! Frustrating, sometime....esp when I bring too many lenses and get hung up on changing the lens and not taking pictures.
 
For me, I care less and less about equipment and more and more about the picture. And yes, it is fun, if it wasn't, I wouldn't do it.

After forty years of having fun with first Nikons then starting in 1990 with Leica M, I have finally put a few rolls thru two different Barnack's and it was Great Fun. I just put my first roll thru my oldest Leica, a 1934 Leica ll with 50mm Elmar and I got some wonderful kid pictures. Now I have to find a Leica 1a I can afford. Joe
 
the biggest problem i'm having with photography is all the little issues i could have with film, including light leaks, processing errors, etc etc. It's extremely discouraging, but i'm trying not to give up. The money is another issue, since i'm a student. My perfect scenario would be having a decent darkroom, and a nice camera which i am happy with, i would like to realistically own a bessa r2a and just shoot black and white.
 
Fun? absolutely! Frustrating? Sometimes.
But, for me, learning has always been fun--often the most fun is when the lessons are the toughest.
I think it was advertising for the game "Othello" that used the phrase, "Easy to learn, hard to master." Photography is like that for me and I'm very happy that it is so. I'm confident that I'll be able to continue to enjoy this hobby of mine for as long as I'm around because of that.

Oh yes. I'm just back from an afternoon walk on the levee of the Ems (river in northwestern Germany) shooting pictures of birds and sheep and marshland and ships.

And I can't wait till I can move into my new house (in about 6 weeks) -- there's this room that will make an excellent darkroom... :)

Well, knowing what you want is a big step, and you do!

The other half is just about to come with some time and effort... The darkroom may do more for you than another camera... Especially contact prints to evaluate your film: I have known people who had no enlarger, and just a dark bathroom and a common 60w light bulb hanging for contacts... Anyone can master film easily...

I'm absolutely still having fun. I spent some time this weekend testing out my new (old) Nikkor 5cm f/2 on my new (less old) Zeiss Ikon, which I'll be developing tonight, scanning a ton of pictures I just got developed, and then went out yesterday to try out my new 4x5 setup for the first time. I can get as obsessive about gear as the next person here, but ultimately I only care about it because I love taking pictures.
