It's a great scanner, no doubt. But I'm so scared if it get into any troubles some day. I bought a Dimage 5400 II (a newer model comparing to the Pro) actually didn't work properly.
The Nikon 9000ED is still quite expensive and may have the same trouble.
Or buy a dedicated 35mm scanner (still no one could save it if anything was wrong) plus a Epson V700 for MF?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts

I constantly use a MultiPro I bought new about ten years ago. Yes, someday it may break and be unrepairable.
But someday I may step out in front of a bus or be stuck by lightning. I focus on the now rather than the negatives that could happen.

Why not the Plustek 120? it's cheaper than 9000ED and I guess also than the Multi Pro.
you can test it as soon as buy it. I think they fixed the initial film plane problem. Plus it's new

Agree completely. Still using my Scan Multi Pro as well. Great scanner.

I use both a Multi pro and a 5400. Both still work very well but eventually they will break down of course. The problem is that the Multi pro is still insanely expensive. I wouldn,t buy another one if mine breaks down.
