I prefer keeping things as simple as possible and my recollection from my childhood darkroom days, what I hated most was the smell of acetic acid - I know now that you can avoid that but if I can avoid a chemical I don’t mind.
The difference in my work flow is a fixer potency reduction of 15% and that is worth it for me.

By moving the sliders in the OP's image it appears to me that stop bath "stops" development. ;-)

It appears that a lot of people disagree with my previous post where I say that a slight rise in pH does not adversely affect the ability of fixer to fix. What causes fixer to reach the point when it needs replacement is its silver content.
