Hi folks,

I am puzzled about this lens which is shown together with an ordinary 1:2 f=5cm Sonnar and a rather exotic Biotar 1:2 f=13cm Biotar for size comparison. Picture 2 show the lens from the side which reveals a Leica thread. Serial# is 2 792 376.

Thiele's list says that some of these lenses were made for a FHK (which means Fliegerhandkamera = aerial hand camera). Strange enough, Thiele lists all these lenses as f=12cm and not as 12.5cm.

There is yet another lens of this type known, but this one is "naked", no mount nor aperture scale, has serial# 2 752 288 and stems from another batch.

My question is now if this Leica thread is original and if this lens could have been sititng on one of the motor driven Leica 250 which were used by the German airfroce. The mount looks quite professionally-made with a distance scale 4.5/6/8/16/75 (m??), no infinity.

Thanks for any hints about this lens!!
