Strange mounting.....

I have an intermittent problem with mounting lenses on my G2. For some reason, the lenses will not always "click" into place. This issue occurs with 21, 45 and 90mm lenses and the aperture setting doesn't seem to make any difference. I've also noticed when mounting, the process seems a little tight. Anyone else have a similar issue?

You might want to make sure the lens' outer ring is in the right place before you try to mount the lens. The G lenses use a breech-lock system somewhat similar to that on later Canon FD SLR lenses -- the inner barrel (with the contacts and focus coupler) stays stationary as you mount the lens, while the outer barrel (the part with the knurled grip) turns to lock it in place.

Also, when mounting the lens, be sure you're turning ONLY the knurled grip, not the rest of the barrel.
