I've passed this sign about a million times and never bothered until today to slow down long enough to take its portrait, misspelling and all. I'm hoping "Sam" was about five years old at the time the sign was painted.

sometimes the sign itself isn't strange, but rather it's context. apparently, in this case, someone mistook "refuge" for "refuse."
