Robert, Thank you. Here's a few more, as I said, I didn't know how many of my shots could be considered "Street Portraits." I like to think of them more like walking about with a camera portraits.

I'm grateful Andreas keeps hosting this salon, and being an exemplary practitioner; also grateful for the splendid work it attracts, most especially tonight for Richard's (Semrich) contributions.
thank you very much for the thumbs up Robert! I am also very happy about the high standard of contributions. I am never so certain about mine though, I think that the very good photos of the likes of Semrich and airfrogusmc are more exactly what one might expect to see under the header 'street portraits'. I am not so sure how I should call mine, travel portraits? Too many different labels imo only confuse and I hope that mine are ok here.
Haridwar, India. One of the most holy places of India, where the Ganges leaves behind the mountains and meets the plain, every 12 years place of the Kumbh Mela, the biggest festival of mankind. I already had shown one earlier from the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar 2010, the pensive "Sadhu", a "Naga Baba":

Kailash Giri, a 'standing' Naga Baba, he had vowed not to sit or lie down, to stay on his feet for 12 years. That time, in Haridwar 2010, he had completed 5 years.
Standing Babas use 'swings' to lean on, but they can't fall asleep, giving up body control as the swing would give way to one side.
He also is a Phallahari, he only eats fruits, vegetables and milk ( Phallaharis eat 'roti' made out of buckwheat which is not considered a grain but a vegetable )
