DOF Luster
Hi Everyone,
I just got my R-D1 (and have christened it Paarth 🙂)from RFFer Kevin and took it to the streets of NY. I did shoot a couple of frames but I quickly visited Photovillage and Photohabitat to treat it with a Red TA soft release (LHSA model), a Domke F5XB and a Newswear small pouch. My entire kit consisting of the Leica M2 (Maya 🙂), Paarth, 40 Summicron, 90 Elmar, Industar 61, 5 Epson batteries and SD cards was ensconced in the Domke with space to spare of 2 more lenses (15 Heliar and 28 Ultron hopefully). The TA softrelease and the Domke totally altered the shooting experience. It was almost second nature to whip the camera out, take a stealthy shot and then re-holster it. I am a relative novice to the RF world. I have been street shooting with a Canon 30D before this. The RF and R-D1 experience is beyond parallel. The TA softrelease allowed me to take shots actually at 1/15th of a sec!!
You can see some snaps from the shoot at http://www.flickr.com/photos/kprashant/sets/72157609759277416/
Here are some photos from that shoot that I love the most. I have edited them as Jpegs..I am yet to understand the the ERF file synthesis and the Epson PhotoRAW workflow.
Please do opine..

Regards,
Prashant Kumar.
