I see a lot of people posting street and vacation type shots... who here uses artificial lighting / strobes with their RF?

(on-camera Weegee-type deer-in-the-headlights hotshoe mounted strobes count... barely!)

Would like to, but I still haven't got round to searching for something to convert the weird sync connector on the M3 to use a standard PC cable....

Was looking at Todd Papageorge's new book, "Passing Through Eden" last night. Photographs taken over many years in New York's Central park. Many of them, though made in daylight, make use of on-camera flash which not only increases detail in shadows, but gives a distinct flat look to some surfaces. Quite a different look in some pictures, more subtle in others.

Who else uses/used this technique? Dianne Arbus often did.

Cheers,
Gary

I've been using flash for my "Weegee" experiments.

Yes, contrary to what was suggested on "another network", I used a rangefinder for these. :)
