Makes me wonder what equipment they use.

Noritsu HS 1800. I don't know what all the technicians do but I have a Google Drive folder with some reference images for color and they do it. Scans are about 17MP for 645. I get TIFF scans done so I can do light edits. They send them to me via WeTransfer and I have the negatives sent to a company called The Film Hound to be cut and stored.

My lab also has a Fuji Frontier and you can choose between the Noritsu and the Fuji for the same price.
