Suggestions on Adding Features to RFF?

maybe it´s possible to implant a kind of couch surfer´s meeting point. travelling photographers could offer roof and food to each other.
listing countries/regions, number of beds/nights, etc.
visible for rff- members only, of course.

The only feature I would add is a "back to last page viewed" link to land back at the place I was before I clicked an image. Right now after clicking an image I have to go back to Gallery and I would land in Gallery page 1 again.
And please no "like" or "thanks" button. :bang:
I love the actual personal and polite way rff is built.

classifieds - the relationship between payment of ad and appearance of ad is 'broken'

classifieds - the relationship between payment of ad and appearance of ad is 'broken'

example 1:

i clicked to relist my expired ad (summilux 24mm)
i paid by paypal
rff said sorry but no details for the ad on file - please submit a new one
submitted new ad, but it appears only at the bottom of the stack instead of starting top left like all new ads.

example 2:
tuesday night, i created a new ad for 3 lenses (lens section)
i paid by paypal
the ad was visible last night (midnight german time), but is no longer visible anywhere in main (= new) ads or in the lens section today.

thanks for fixing

+1 for a thanks button

+1 for the option of a more mobile-friendly environment

+1 for the Favicon

+1 for even maintaining this fantastic place!

Please, please, PLEASE add support for Tapatalk. All the other fora I read can be accessed through Tapatalk, and being able to read all the posts I care about in one place would just be slick as a greased eel.

Which post did you find most helpful for this topic?

Which post did you find most helpful for this topic?

Similar to a "Like" button, but maybe a ranking of 1-5 (5 being the most helpful) that thread readers can assign to a response. Limit the number of "ranking" per ID per post to mitigate spamming.

I would ask that the ranking be tied to the poster's ID. Then start to gather info on which posters have been providing "helpful" and somehow make that available to RFF'ers in general.

Also, associate each ranking provided by an RFF'er with his ID -- similar to subscribing to a thread, but only for those that I ranked.

Lastly, somehow associate those posts and rankngs with the RFF Search function where highly ranked responses are given priority in the Search algorithm.

I don't know if any of the above already exists in RFF (and I just don't know it), but if it doesn't I think it would be very helpful.

Searches..

Searches..

This may have been mentioned already, but I hate the "30 second rule" that makes you wait if you have done a search and then want to do another one.
For me, it often takes a couple of tries to get a search right, so I hit this almost every time I do a search.

How about a quick link in the Member Profile to see that member's posted photos?

How about a quick link in the Member Profile to see that member's posted photos?

I'm always wondering who that loudmouth--er, dignified hobbyist--is and wondering what kind of photos they shoot. But there doesn't seem to be a quick way to do that. Is there?

To alleviate burden on moderators and provide a more community-based social management system, implement some sort of (agree / disagree / flag for review) for posts.

A revamped product / services review section. As it stands, folks do this in threads (many at that); one must assume therefore that the existing review system is either not to their liking or inaccessible.

Integrated google search.
