Summar Soft??? Pictures!!!

I have used my Summar on both Zorki and Olumpus EP-1, still have to scan negatives. Digital pictures look very nice and reasonably sharp with low contrast. I will try to post some soon.

Mine is a 1936 lens. It's very clean and the front element had been coated some time.

I prefer to use it between f4.5 and f9 and I don't find it soft at all at these apertures. I always use a hood. There are very cheap, compact and well-made metal 34mm screw in hoods sold by a British seller on ebay - they work great.

Here's a recent picture at f6.3 taken with a IIIf on APX 100 (new), developed in D-76 1+1. I love this lens!
